Kapper TETIK versus Topp & Dubio

LINK Topp & Dubio

Louise Nevelson

@ Cardi gallery

Louise Nevelson: 55 - 70 features works created between 1955 and 1970, a period when the artist's signature modernist style emerged, with labyrinthine wooden assemblages and monochrome surfaces, and evolved, as Nevelson incorporated industrial materials such as Plexiglas, aluminum and steel in the 1960s and 1970s. The exhibition at Cardi Gallery presents more than 25 collages and ten sculptures from private collections around the world, including large-scale monochrome reliefs, freestanding large-scale sculptures, and mixed media collages on paper and board, incorporating newsprint, paint, vinyl, metal, and other found objects. LINK cardigallery LINK louisenevelsonfoundation

Candy Warhol (Peter Anton)

@ Gallery Delaive

Special Assortment Round 1, 2014

Peter Anton (1963, New Haven, Connecticut) is an American artist and sculptor. His primary subject matter is food with an emphasis on chocolates and other sweets. Often referred to as "Candy Warhol," Anton creates giant realistic sculptures and is best known for his "bigger than life" boxed chocolates. At times Anton's studio can resemble a sweet shop since it is filled with dozens of real treats which he uses as models. His beginning process is to eat, smell, feel, study and dissect a new food over and over again in order to hyper-familiarize himself with the new subject. He then begins the long and tedious process of sculpting, carving, sanding, painting, and construction of his mixed media works. LINK delaive

René Koenegras, Theater as a tool

René Koenegras was educated at the Rotterdam center for theater and has worked there for years. He has been working for 20 years in secondary education as a drama teacher and PO / social skills trainer. René works from the experiences of the young people and uses theater as a tool in. He puts himself as an actor with role plays to learn. Pupils social skills Also addressing emotional problems show theater as a tool particularly suitable. LINK René Koenegras (Site in Dutch)

Willem Besselink

In my work I try to avoid any decisions directed by my impulses or emotional preferences. Instead, for each work I try to define a set of procedural rules to derive form from. Natural laws and man-made rules, the regularities of the world and the exceptions to them: that’s what fascinates me. Using these rules I may observe all that: my own impulses, those of other people, or other given incidentals. This process actually shapes the final work. It may take any shape: different media, both two- and three-dimensional, both analog and digital. Any work is no longer a representation of the process, but a presence by its own right… LINK Willem Besselink LINK Frank Taal
